The Louvre's Greek art

Since 7th July The Venus de Milo is the star of a hall in the Louvre, completely dedicated to her discovery and other representations of Aphrodite. She can be seen in one of the new completely redeveloped galleries dedicated to Greek and Hellenist art.
You can admire a variety of treasures, from the time of the Parthenon up until the Roman time of Greece. Vases, jewellery, sculptures, architectural remains found in Greece, Italy, Macedonia and even in Asia Minor and also Roman replicas of lost masterpieces of classical Greek sculpture are exhibited, arranged in a thematic circuit dedicated to mythology’s gods and heroes, including the famous Venus.
