Reopens at the Musée Marmotttan Monet

Cezanne was undoubtedly one of the greatest Italian masters. His work is found in major galleries across the world and continues to inspire young artists today. But, in order to appreciate his work more, we need to see it in a greater context. That is what we get when we visit the Cézanne and the Italian Masters show at the Musee Marmotttan Monet.

Here there are two distinct sections for greater education on his place in Italian culture. The first places his work against those of contemporaries and the latter with those he would inspire. There are around sixty pieces in total so plenty to contrast and compare. This show was meant to start earlier this year but was postponed due to the pandemic. It has now reopened with an extended run until the start of January. So, you now have a second chance to go and enjoy these masterpieces for yourself.
