Exhibition at Centre Pompidou, Paris

Christo and Jeanne-Claude are arguably most famous for their attempts to wrap key monuments and buildings. These big statements of public art have made headlines for decades as they transformed famous sites. Parisian may be most familiar with the project to wrap the Pont-Neuf in the city back in 1985. Fans of these bold stunts will be pleased to know that Christo plans to bring another work to the city in 2020. The aim this time is to wrap the Arc De Triomphe for a couple of weeks in the spring.

To celebrate this, the Centre Pompidou will stage an exhibition around the event. Visitors can come and learn more about the artists and their work. There will be information on the key projects they undertook – both individually and as a duo – as well as studio works and other objects. The Christo and Jeanne-Claude in Paris show will run from July 1st to October 19th, 2020. Don’t miss out!
