From Degas to Grünewald, in the Eye of Francesco Vezzoli

To be honest, few people that go to the Musee d’Orsay will be familiar with the name Joris-Karl Huysmans. However, most will be familiar with some of the subjects of his work and the pieces on show in this new exhibition. That is because he was a leading art critic that studied, among many others, the work of Degas. That is the aim of this show, to let visitors see the work of Degas and other artists through the eyes of a critic, to give viewers something new to think about.

Therefore, if you think you know what there is to know about the work of Degas, Manet, Gauguin and other leading names of the era, come to the gallery to see why that probably isn’t the case.
