The History Of Versailles Through An Artist's Eyes

from the 2019-11-19 until the 2020-03-15

How do we look at the impact of a building in the history of its country? Do we stick to the archives and this history books written by the rich and the victors or do we turn to the creative output that knew and loved it best? That is something that we can discuss more at the new exhibition at the Palace of Versailles. Instead of sticking with the dry, dusty history, we get to see the building through the eyes of the designers, artists and writer that loved it and built stories around it over an important creative period between the late 19th and early 20th century.

You can come to the Palace to see the complex contrasts in its history as a palace, a museum and now a vital gallery space for this exhibition. The Versailles Revival show is already underway at the Palace and continues until the 15th of March.
