Viollet-le-Duc (1814 – 1879) was an architect and theorist, famous for his interpretive "restorations" of medieval buildings. Born in Paris, he was a major Gothic Revival architect.

On the occasion of his 200th anniversary, this retrospective exhibition presents his unique work as architect, theorist and restaurateur.
