The Tour de France has finished on the Champs-Elysees every year since 1975. While the stage is prestigious in itself, it is exceedingly hard to win on a breakaway, and one such victory constitutes a highly regarded achievement.
Since then, only the end of the stage follows the route, and the number of laps varies between six and eight, except 10 laps in 2003, for the centenary of the Tour de France.<
For the 2019 edition the last stage will start in Rambouillet for a 127 kms runs...
