Philharmonie Paris welcomes an exhibition honoring David Bowie

from the 2015-03-03 until the 2015-05-31

"David Bowie is" a musical and artistic event highly anticipated by music lovers in the capital of lights after the tremendous success it witnessed in London with over 300 000 visitors!

Building on its success, it flew to a big world tour. After Toronto, Canada, Sao Paulo, Brazil and Chicago in the United States, the show finally settles at the Cité de la Musique in Paris, March 3, 2015 until May 31st.

"David Bowie is" exhibition traces 50 years of this British Pop icon career through a very refined selection of more than 300 objects including personal archives, unpublished visual or audio documents, photographs and films, suits (like the inevitable comic coveralls Kansai Yamamoto for Aladddin Sane tour in 1973), scenic elements, manuscripts, drawings instruments...

This exhibition is a great opportunity to learn more about the different personalities of David Jones: Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane, the Thin White Duke, and many other colorful characters that have an absolutely exceptional career.

David Bowie was able to endorse all genres with an edge, whether it's glam rock, funk or soul, disco or electro.
