Enjoy The Annecy Film Festival From Home this June

This year should have brought us the 60th anniversary of the Annecy International Animated Movie Festival. But, plans have had to change a little bit in the aftermath of the Coronavirus outbreak.

To avoid film fans running any risk of infection or breaking social distancing rules, this year's festival will now take place online. This means that film fans from across the world can still enjoy screenings of the best titles from up-and-coming film-makers, they just have to do so in the comfort of their own homes and provide their own refreshments.

This decision makes sense. There were entrants from 94 countries on all kinds of categories, so a giant meetup in France just wasn’t viable. But, this is a nice compromise where viewers from across the world can still have a lot of fun.

The fun list of entries and screenings will be available online. The online version of the Annecy Festival now runs from June 15th to 30th.
