Body and Soul Sculpture in Italy from Donatello to Michelangelo
Exhibition at the Louvre Paris
Next autumn, the Louvre brings us an impressive exhibition focused on the sculptural works created in Italy. “Body and Soul” lets users see incredible forms from the 16th century as a way of seeing where the art of sculpture came into its own. It is a nice way to learn more and see the contrast to the exhibitions of other contemporary artists that are currently on show in the city. Those that are on show elsewhere today will have learned something from these masters.
The show is designed as a follow-up to the “Springtime of the Renaissance” Exhibition 6 years ago, so it has been a while since the gallery undertook this sort of collaboration. While the sculptures of Donatello and Michelangelo are the focal points in the sculpture in Italy, there are many other pieces and other mediums to enjoy. You can come and do so between October 10th 2020 and January 18th, 2021.
